A South African man believed to be a gold panner, was
gruesomely butchered by an unknown assailant after the two parties failed to
reach common ground over who would sleep with a lady of the night first.
The man whose name could not be ascertained was
allegedly hacked with a machete thrice and died on his way to Polokwane General Hospital.
The assailant is on the run.
Polokwane police spokepserson could not confirm the
incident saying he was in Johhnesburg and was yet to be briefed on the case.
However, sources close to the happenings have it
that the two were drinking at a Hotel.
The two, sources say, they decided to liven up their
drinking by seeking the services of a thigh vendor for pleasure.
“The two had an argument as to who was going to have
sex with her first, that is when the misunderstanding began,” said a source.
The killer, whose name could also not be
ascertained, then forked out R100 for a short time with the harlot raising the
stakes after outbidding the now deceased who had paid R50 for the woman’s
services.
A brawl ensued as the duo argued over who was to
enjoy the forbidden fruit first and as the blows grew intense the now late man
took to his heels towards Much Better Bar and Restaurant with his killer in hot
pusuit.
He was then hacked twice by a machete on the neck
and fell unconscious.
The killer then disappeared into thin air and police
have since launched a manhunt.
The disturbing issue comes amid growing fears that
gold panners have since turned the city into a war zone with machetes and
knives taking centre stage.
